About the Course

The Bachelor of Business course with Hospitality Management major is designed to give students a comprehensive basis for a management career in the hospitality industry. This major is aimed at providing learners with a thorough understanding of hospitality and business management, principles and relevant industry skills.

This major of study will endow students with strong, real-life problem-solving capabilities, the ability to anticipate change and a commitment to lifelong personal development. This major prepares students for a professional career in the global hospitality industry.

Entry Requirements

  1. At least one of the following academic entry criteria must be met by an International applicant for the undergraduate course:

    a. HSC/Year 12 certificate or a minimum ATAR of 65 or equivalent or an international equivalent qualification recognised by National Office for Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR)

    b. Satisfactory completion of an authorised Tertiary Preparation Program, Tertiary Orientation Program, or a Foundation Year Program through an accredited higher education institution provided at:

    • Australian Universities;
    • TAFE Institutes;
    • Government approved Registered Training Organizations (RTOs);
    • An approved foreign provider recognised by NOOSR.

    c. Satisfactory completion of one year of accredited full-time study in the associated discipline at Certificate IV or greater level at a licensed Australian supplier of tertiary education, as follows:

  • Certificate IV;
  • Diploma of Business;
  • Advanced Diploma;
  • Vocational Graduate Certificate;
  • Vocational Graduate Diploma;
  • Associate Degree;
  • Bachelors’ Degree.

2. If English is not the first language of the applicant or the applicant has not completed secondary or tertiary education entirely in English including all teaching, assessments, and examinations, the applicant must also fulfil one of the following requirements:

  • an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent with overall score of 6.0 not less than 5.5. 
  • successful completion of an approved English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course.
